About

An engineer who builds the whole stack — metal to model.

I'm Kyrollos Farah — friends and clients call me Kero. I'm a Coptic Egyptian-American multidisciplinary engineer based in Anaheim, California, and the founder of MediaVision — engineering and media projects I began in Egypt in 1996 and formally established as MediaVision in 2004, then carried across the world to Orange County.

I wrote my first programs in 1985, in GW-BASIC on a Sakhr AX-170 — building games and, by 1987, producing entertainment video output: wedding videos, and music intros and outros for churches, scout groups, and schools. I earned a 5-year diploma in electrical engineering (high & low power) and computers, and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture / Agricultural Engineering — the degree behind my engineer title — and spent more than eight years teaching high-school students in Egypt to build motherboards and engine-control boards from scratch, hand-drawing PCB traces and acid-etching the boards ourselves.

Through MediaVision I designed fully automated screen, lighting, music, and special-effects control systems for churches and major theatres — including productions staged at Maspero in Cairo under my name — and moved into broadcast: DVD authoring and video conversion pipelines built from scratch, and work with the Arabica TV music channel in 2004 in cooperation with art channels, alongside security-system and internet infrastructure projects across Egypt.

Today my work spans the full range of modern engineering: component-level diagnostics and repair, data recovery, custom gaming and AI workstations, and the complete software systems that run businesses — booking platforms, admin dashboards, inventory systems, client portals, and analytics.

I also design and run IT infrastructure: multi-location networks, Windows Server environments serving roughly 2,000 users, firewalls and network security, business Wi-Fi, network storage and backups, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 administration, and business telephony / VoIP (Asterisk & Elastix) — plus broadcast and digital-media systems: live streaming, media servers, DVD authoring, and DMX stage-lighting and show control.

In recent years I've gone deep into AI infrastructure: I designed and operate a private multi-GPU AI server that runs large language models fully in-house — with its own chat platform, client portal, document-search (RAG) system, and automation pipelines. No cloud dependency, complete data privacy.

I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, and one of the things I'm proudest of is merging agriculture with computer and electronic control technology — using sensors, automation, and control systems to run machines and growing environments. It's the same instinct behind everything I build: take two worlds and make them work together.

My philosophy is simple: diagnose before you replace, build it right, and stand behind the work. And beyond the technology, my mission is people — I love helping others, lifting them up, and encouraging everyone to stay positive and happy.

What I do best

Disciplines usually kept separate — hardware, software, IT infrastructure, media, and AI — brought together by one engineer who understands the whole system.

🤖

AI Infrastructure & LLM Deployment

Design and operation of private, self-hosted AI systems: multi-GPU inference servers, local large language models, document-search (RAG) pipelines, AI agents and automation — full data privacy, zero cloud lock-in.

Projects that prove it

A selection of systems I've designed, built, and operate.

01

Private AI Cluster & Platform AI Infrastructure — designed, built & operated in-house

A 12-GPU inference cluster (24 GB per card, ~288 GB of VRAM) running large language models entirely on-premises. Includes a public chat platform with client accounts and billing, a document-knowledge (RAG) search system, an AI orchestrator that plans → implements → reviews code autonomously, and automated market-search tools with real-time alerts. Complete with bare-metal disaster-recovery imaging.

Journey

From a Sakhr AX-170 to a 12-GPU AI cluster

1985 — THE FIRST LINE OF CODE

GW-BASIC on a Sakhr AX-170

Wrote my first programs and games on Egypt's legendary MSX machine — the start of everything.

1987 — HANDS-ON BEGINNINGS

Video production & electronics

Turned the machine into a production tool, creating entertainment output for weddings and music intros and outros for churches, scout groups, and schools — and went hands-on with electronics and hardware.

1990s — THE TEACHER

5-year electrical diploma, B.Sc. Agricultural Engineering → 8+ years teaching

Earned a 5-year diploma in electrical (high & low power) and computers, and a Bachelor's in Agriculture / Agricultural Engineering (the degree behind my engineer title), then taught high-school students in Egypt for more than eight years — showing a generation how to build motherboards and engine-control boards from scratch, hand-drawing PCB traces and acid-etching the boards themselves.

1996–2004 — MEDIAVISION BEGINS

Theatre automation & show control

Began MediaVision's engineering and media projects (1996) — later formally established as MediaVision (2004) — building custom boards and fully automated screen systems for churches, plus lighting, music, and special-effects control for major theatre productions, including plays staged at Maspero, Cairo, under my own name.

2004 — THE BROADCAST ERA

Arabica TV & media engineering

🧩

Fun Building Projects for All Ages

I love creating amazing hands-on building projects — from simple, playful builds for toddlers to real challenges for adults. If it teaches, delights, and brings people together, I'm all in.

👂

Always Here to Listen

I welcome anyone to talk. I'm a good listener who genuinely enjoys people — encouraging others, lifting them up, and helping however I can.

✝️

Faith in Christ

My life is grounded in my faith in Jesus Christ our Lord. It shapes how I treat people, how I work, and the gratitude and joy I try to carry every day.
