An engineer who builds the whole stack — metal to model.
I'm Kyrollos Farah — friends and clients call me Kero. I'm a Coptic Egyptian-American multidisciplinary engineer based in Anaheim, California, and the founder of MediaVision — engineering and media projects I began in Egypt in 1996 and formally established as MediaVision in 2004, then carried across the world to Orange County.
I wrote my first programs in 1985, in GW-BASIC on a Sakhr AX-170 — building games and, by 1987, producing entertainment video output: wedding videos, and music intros and outros for churches, scout groups, and schools. I earned a 5-year diploma in electrical engineering (high & low power) and computers, and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture / Agricultural Engineering — the degree behind my engineer title — and spent more than eight years teaching high-school students in Egypt to build motherboards and engine-control boards from scratch, hand-drawing PCB traces and acid-etching the boards ourselves.
Through MediaVision I designed fully automated screen, lighting, music, and special-effects control systems for churches and major theatres — including productions staged at Maspero in Cairo under my name — and moved into broadcast: DVD authoring and video conversion pipelines built from scratch, and work with the Arabica TV music channel in 2004 in cooperation with art channels, alongside security-system and internet infrastructure projects across Egypt.
Today my work spans the full range of modern engineering: component-level diagnostics and repair, data recovery, custom gaming and AI workstations, and the complete software systems that run businesses — booking platforms, admin dashboards, inventory systems, client portals, and analytics.
I also design and run IT infrastructure: multi-location networks, Windows Server environments serving roughly 2,000 users, firewalls and network security, business Wi-Fi, network storage and backups, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 administration, and business telephony / VoIP (Asterisk & Elastix) — plus broadcast and digital-media systems: live streaming, media servers, DVD authoring, and DMX stage-lighting and show control.
In recent years I've gone deep into AI infrastructure: I designed and operate a private multi-GPU AI server that runs large language models fully in-house — with its own chat platform, client portal, document-search (RAG) system, and automation pipelines. No cloud dependency, complete data privacy.
I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, and one of the things I'm proudest of is merging agriculture with computer and electronic control technology — using sensors, automation, and control systems to run machines and growing environments. It's the same instinct behind everything I build: take two worlds and make them work together.
My philosophy is simple: diagnose before you replace, build it right, and stand behind the work. And beyond the technology, my mission is people — I love helping others, lifting them up, and encouraging everyone to stay positive and happy.
